Title: Spirited Lemon Sauce - Glorious Liqueurs

Yield: 2 Cups

2/3cSugar
1/4cCornstarch
1/4tsSalt
1/2cLemon juice
1 1/2cBoiling water
2tbUnsalted butter, cut into
  Pieces
2tbChartreuse or B & B
1tbGrated lemon peel

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt until lump free. Slowly stir in lemon juice, then the boiling water, then the butter pieces.

Bring to a simmer over moderate heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 2 minutes.

Remove from heat. Stir in liqueur and grated peel. Serve warm.
